Adult and Adolescent Psychiatry
My path to psychiatry was one that began in pediatrics to anesthesia, then pediatric anesthesia and critical care to psychiatry. I completed a mentorship through the American Psychoanalytic Society Fellowship program. My psychiatric practice brings a broad foundation in pediatrics, medicine, pharmacology, and psychodynamic training.
I have practiced in the outpatient, inpatient, and residential levels of care.
I currently provide tele-psychiatry for residents of New York State.
I am accepting primarily ages 13-18 and will consider ages 19-30 on a case by case basis.
My focus is to direct each individual to the treatment that best suits that person's needs. I am psychodynamically trained and have worked primarily with adolescents and young adults for the last 20 years. I appreciate a collaborative approach with any existing providers with whom a person is already working and focusing on how the individual is currently suffering.
At this time I am accepting new patients. This is a very small practice. Please be patient with return calls.
Also, this is currently a telemedicine only practice. New York residents please contact the office for specific scheduling and instructions.
Massachusetts residents, I have merged my practice with Lifestance Health. Call 781-551

Each person will be an active participant in any treatment planning. We will review what brings each individual to the assessment, review their history, and explore what may be contributing factors. We may or may not decide that medications are the best choice for that person.
Many individuals are prescribed psychiatric medications. Individuals are unique and their medications are determined on an individual basis. The decisions surrounding medication dosing, continuation, and discontinuation will be determined with each person based on that person's need and quality of life. This can be short term or long term.
Often an individual is already participating in therapy at the time of a referral and the assessment is related to this. This will be discussed on an individual basis. There are many issues that are best addressed within the context of therapy alone or the combination of therapy with psychotropic medications.

I often hear that my name appears on a provider list; this reflects prior employee status for an agency and that agency is the insurance provider. Your coverage is at that location, not at this practice. This is a small practice and unfortunately there is no office staff available to return calls regarding locating your insurance company providers or to answer questions left on the voicemail regarding insurance.
